Our Fair Trade Sales

Merchandise can be purchased on-site on Sundays and during special events, or ordered on-line. Orders placed on-line by noon Friday will usually be ready for pick-up at UUCF the following Sunday.

COFFEE-ETC carries Fair Trade & Native American coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar, other foodstuffs & consumables (the "ETC" stands for tea and all the other good things). All of these items are available whenever COFFEE-ETC is open - if you don't see something, ask! COFFEE-ETC will open approximately on every other Sunday, 10:15-am-12:30pm, after September 1. Check the Calendar of Events for specific schedules or the Green Sanctuary Page of the UUCF web site for details.

CONSCIENTIOUS CONSUMER BOUTIQUE - In keeping with our mission of promoting the Seventh Principle, we are expanding our offerings of products that are environmentally friendly and that support Sustainable Living. These range from Fair Trade products that are made from recycled and/or sustainably harvested materials to environmentally friendly natural garden products. In addition to fairly traded, earth friendly products, we support US companies that protect worker's rights, practice socially and environmentally responsible policies, and source their products through a fair supply chain.
Among these products are Reusable Shopping Bags, recycled & compostable plastic bags, energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps, tree-friendly and fairtrade greeting and note cards, and organic soap. These are available whenever sales are open, but may not be on display - just ask if you're interested in a particular item, and we'll try to find it for you!
And remember that Fair Trade begins at home! Buy locally grown or produced products whenever possible, shop responsibly, and support a fair supply chain.

The FAIR TRADE BOUTIQUE offers a wide variety of ethically traded and sustainably crafted merchandise, including jewelry, accessories, tableware, cards, art, and much, much more! A different selection of merchandise is available at any given time. The BOUTIQUE is not open every week, check the weekly schedules on the the Calendar of Events or the Green Sanctuary Page of the UUCF web site for details.

MONTHLY SCHEDULE
COFFEE-ETC & Boutique sales will be open approximately two Sundays a month. Check the calendar for specific scheduling.
In-stock products can be ordered on-line using this website. Orders placed by noon on Friday will usually be ready the following Sunday at UUCF, even if regular sales are not open.

Our Fair Trade Sales Project provides a service for the many members & friends who shop at UUCF for Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and other ethically produced products. The public is always welcome! The FT sales are financially sustainable, and proceeds go back to Fair Trade products, which directly helps the farmers and other workers who produce and distribute food & merchandise in the global market.
Proceeds also support UUCF. Many in the congregation now also look first to the Boutique for unique special occasion gifts, and also as a way of supporting UUCF.

New product lines are introduced to promote specific actions, and are accompanied by educational material in the form of handouts, informational signs, and weekly Unison newletter articles.

Recent actions have included
- bring FT home by purchasing Native American products,
- bring FT home by purchasing products from local and domestic farmers & artisans. We now feature freshly roasted coffee from local Dublin Roasters.
- purchase goods made from recycled materials such as juice bags from the Phillipines,
- save energy with compact fluorescent lamps,
- reduce, reuse & recycle with Reusable Shopping Bags,
- Save the Elephants! - use elephant dung paper products
- reduce usage of disposable paper products
